• Account information: Email address and name when you sign up.
• Video recordings: Videos you record within the app for content generation.
• Transcripts: Text transcriptions of your recordings used to generate content.
• Business information: Business name, industry, and social media platforms you provide during onboarding.
• Social media accounts: When you connect Instagram or Facebook, we receive your profile name, profile picture, and permission to publish content on your behalf. We do not read your DMs or access your followers list.
• Usage data: App interactions, features used, and session information.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Generate personalized social media content from your recordings
• Publish content to your connected social media accounts when you choose to
• Improve our AI models and content quality
• Provide customer support and send account notifications
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase: Database hosting and user authentication
• Anthropic (Claude): AI content generation from your transcripts
• OpenAI (Whisper): Speech-to-text transcription of your recordings
• ElevenLabs: AI voice generation for the interview experience
• RevenueCat: Subscription and payment management
• Meta (Instagram/Facebook): Content publishing when you connect your account

These providers process data according to their own privacy policies and are contractually required to protect your information.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
• Video recordings are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Supabase Storage).
• We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
• Upon account deletion, all your data (recordings, transcripts, generated content) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
• Disconnect your social media accounts at any time from within the app

6. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To submit a request, contact us at the email below.

7. European Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, our legal basis for processing your data is your consent (which you may withdraw at any time) and our legitimate interest in providing and improving the service. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children's Privacy

Posty is not intended for anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
